And Equipment
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, vacuum cleaner,
4 color televisions, stereo system, DVD player, VCR's, central heat and
air conditioning, telephones, crib, 2 highchairs, beach towels, bath towels
and bed linens. You will find a wealth of amenities to make your vacation
enjoyable, including beach bicycles, roller blades, sand toys, beach chairs
and umbrella, numerous games, books, movies and activities for children
and adults of all ages. The house has two four-passenger electric golf
carts. Complimentary initial supplies of cleaning products, paper towels,
bath tissue and soap are provided at check-in. Additional supplies can
be purchased at the Maritime Market grocery store. Locked closets are
maintained for our personal use. Please respect these areas.
Housekeeping
Accommodations are thoroughly cleaned before each guest's arrival. If
requested, additional housekeeping services are available at a special
rate.
Minimum
Stay Requirements
There is a two-night minimum stay. Exceptions include a three-night minimum
on observed holidays (Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day) and a seven-night minimum
during Summer Season (June 13th - August 14th).
Deposits
and Payments
A Guest Rental Agreement and deposit of 50% of the total account balance,
including all applicable fees and taxes, is due within 14 days of reservation.
Upon receipt of your deposit, a confirmation will be mailed. Your account
balance is due in full, along with the signed Guest Rental Agreement,
at least 30 days prior to your arrival date. Reservations made fewer than
30 days in advance require payment in full. Accepted methods of payment
include certified check or money order, traveler's check,
personal check or cash. All checks must be issued in U.S. funds and drawn
on a bank that operates within the US Federal Reserve System. A $25 fee
will be assessed on all returned checks.
Security
Deposit
A security deposit of $250.00 is needed to book reservations. Guests are responsible
for any damages, other than normal wear and tear, that occur to accommodations,
electric vehicles, or household furnishings as a result of their occupancy.
Charges may also be assessed for early arrival or late check-in, and for altering the home in any way, per the rental agreement.
Cancellations
And Refunds
A 30-day cancellation policy is in effect. The party whose name is on the reservation must make cancellations. If you cancel your reservation in advance of the 30-day period before your arrival, all monies paid up to the date of cancellation may be applied toward the rental of the home at any later date within the next 12 months, subject to availability. If the home is re-rented to another guest for the dates of the cancelled contract, we will refund up to the amount recovered through the rental to another guest, or 90% of the total amount paid to the date of cancellation.
If state or local authorities order a mandatory evacuation of Bald Head Island, and you comply with the order, you are entitled to a refund of the prorated rent for each night that you are unable to occupy the property because of the order. Trip Interruption Insurance may be available through your local insurance agent.
No
refund or rate adjustment will be made for malfunction of air conditioners,
TV's or appliances. Repairs will be made as soon as possible after notification,
or other comparable accommodations will be provided, depending upon availability.
Taxes
and Fees
Your account balance will include a 6% Village
of Bald Head Island accommodations tax and 6.5% NC sales tax. Any changes
in current tax rates will be applied on the effective date. Ferry, parking
and the above taxes are not included in the published rates. As a convenience,
the fees associated with these vacation essentials will be added to accommodation
charges at time of booking, except for parking which will be paid upon
departure.
Check-In
And Check-Out Times
Check-in time for your accommodation is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time from
your accommodation is 10:00 a.m. Please note that ferries depart Indigo
on the hour and the island on the half hour. Ferry reservations should
be made to allow for a 4:00 p.m. accommodation arrival and departure from
your accommodation by 10:00 a.m. During peak periods, ferries run half-hour
schedules. Ferry reservations to the island should be made no earlier
than 3:00 p.m. and departure ferry reservations should be made no later
than 10:30 a.m. (during non-peak periods) and 10:00 a.m. (during peak
periods). No provisions are made for early arrival or late departure,
and your failure to vacate the accommodation by the check-out time will
result in a fee of an additional half-day's rental charge. Guests may
call transportation at (910) 457-5003 to make any necessary changes to
ferry reservations.

Long distance calls from rental accommodations phones must be made collect
or by credit/calling card.
